Dancing Cloud – The Media Platform for the Hamburg Ballet

How do you doccument the perfect leap, the graceful turn, the synchronized ensemble? And not just for the moment, but for the next rehearsal, the premiere, and then back again in the rehearsal process?

After an in-depth needs analysis and close collaboration with dancers and choreographers, a unique, web-based video platform was developed for the Hamburg Ballet. It is called the Dancing Cloud and it is a version of our unique product called the Intermedia Hub. This platform functions as a digital center, facilitating the recording, archiving, and intelligent use of media and video recordings both behind the scenes and onstage.

Dancers and artists thrive on creativity not technical hurdles. Before the Dancing Cloud, countless recordings of rehearsals and performances existed, but there was no intelligent system to efficiently organize and securely access them. Additionally, some archival footage was stored in outdated formats, making playback and usability a challenge.

With Dancing Cloud, we have created a seamless all in one media platform designed specifically for the unique needs of artists and not the other way around.
